Newton Police Department Receives Leadership Award
The Newton Police Department was a recent recipient of the Leadership in Community Policing Award from the Iowa Police Chief’s Association. The Newton Police Department was recognized for the development of programs and initiatives that led to a higher level of community engagement and a reduction in crime. The officers and staff believe in a community policing philosophy and know that it’s an integral part of keeping the community safe.
