April is National Community College Month, and to celebrate, we're featuring our wonderful #DMACC alums all month long!
SPOTLIGHT: Laura Lopez, Des Moines, 2016 #DMACC graduate
"Because of my DMACC, I was able to graduate college with zero student debt while still being able to fully experience the college experience.
DMACC's affordable education, faculty and staff support, available scholarships, and on-campus job opportunities are what made this possible. I graduated from DMACC with an AA degree in Business Administration and Financial Administration, and then transferred to the University of Northern Iowa, where I earned my bachelor of arts degree from the College of Business with a Major in Marketing, Emphasis in Global Marketing, and a Minor in Spanish.
During my time at DMACC, I was a full-time student, worked as a Spanish Tutor in the DMACC TRIO/SSS office, and was involved in the community and in various student organizations, including the Student Activities Council (SAC), DMACC Latino Club, International Club, and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society."
