Maytag Pool can be found nestled in the center of historic Maytag Park, which is located at 301 S 11th Ave W. Since the pool was built in 1935, it has served as one of the main summertime family attractions in Newton.
The pool features zero-entry access, a chair lift, water fountains, two water slides, a diving well, and six 25 meter swimming lanes.
Pool Schedule
Maytag Pool opens on May 26 and will close on August 19. These dates may change based on the last and first day of school for students at Newton Community School District. Daily entry fee is $5.00 and children 3 and under are free. Please note children 9 years old and younger must be supervised by a responsible person at least 15 years old. Pool Closures: The pool does periodically close due to weather related issues or other concerns. All pool closing information can be found on www.newtongov.org and on the Newton Park and Recreation's Facebook page.
Late Summer Information: Starting August 8 the pool will close at 5 p.m. every day of the week.
Pool Passes

Swimming Lessons
We are offering two sessions for the 2022 season. The first session will be June 13 - 24 and the second session will be July 11 - July 22. The cost is $30 per child per session. Forms can be dropped off at the City of Newton Community Services Office. We will take registrations until June 5th or when classes fill up whichever is first. Click here to print reservation form. Pool Party Reservations
Pool party reservations are now available, click here to make your reservation. Reservations can also be made in-person at the Community Services Office, 403 W 4th St N, Suite 501.
