Do you like to share a special craft or skill? Do you enjoy volunteering for programs and events or wish to help at the Environmental Learning Center? The Mahaska County Conservation Board is hosting training sessions for anyone interested in volunteering at any time during the calendar year of 2021.  

An in-person training date is scheduled for Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Environmental Learning Center.  Three separate times will be offered: 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., 1:00 – 2:00 pm, or 6:00 – 7:00 pm.  An online version of the training session will also be an option.  

It is a policy of the Mahaska County Conservation Board policy that all volunteers participate in an annual volunteer training session each year prior to volunteering. Interested persons will also be asked to go through a background check and complete a registration form.
