Iowa midterms sees Iowa Federation of Animal Owners in Keokuk County spend the most during Q2

Iowa Federation of Animal Owners spent the most out of in Keokuk County political committees during the second quarter of 2024, according to the Iowa.gov.

It spent $13,000 on one vendor during the time period.

It spent $13,000 at Jill Altringer, which is based in ZIP Code 50111.

The second largest political spend from a committee operating in a city within Keokuk County during the second quarter of 2024 came from Hinnah for Sheriff. It spent $2,767 during the time period on one vendor.

What's known as "dark money," which comes from political non-profits and shell corporations, has greatly increased expenditures and donations in recent elections to record-breaking highs.
