2.9% of Hardin County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Hardin County recorded an unemployment rate of 2.9% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 251 people out of the 16,997 living in Hardin County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Hardin County has increased compared to the 2.7% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Hardin County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.9%.

Of the 8,464 people who had a job during that time, 2 were employed in the Armed Forces and 8,462 belonged to the civilian labor force.
