Recently the William Penn University Education Division delivered thank you boxes to local educators. Aaron Hinnah, Distance Learning Lead Academic Advisor and Adjunct Instructor said, “The boxes were given in appreciation of schools helping with student teaching and field experience placements along with simply doing great things for our youth in general.”
In addition to working with schools to help prepare Education majors with the necessary experience to complete their teaching degree, the WPU Education Division is also helping districts to “grow their own” by offering a district employee pathway to teaching. The Distance Learning program is an innovative solution that allows non-traditional students to obtain their teaching degrees and endorsements online. Through state funding, school districts can apply for grants that help to cover the education expense of full-time paraeducators. It enables existing employees to gain additional training necessary to help fill teaching roles at a time of a national teacher shortage.
William Penn University faculty hand delivered the thank you gifts to local schools and were even able to visit with WPU Alumni now working in the districts.
