The City of Grinnell is holding a public information session for the 4th Avenue reconstruction project on Wednesday, September 28th at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will take place at Drake Community Library in the Caulkins Community Room (930 Park Street). The project area is 4th Avenue from Pearl Street west past the bridge and is scheduled for 2023. This will include complete replacement of the street, curb and gutter, rock base, subdrains, significant water main improvements, street lighting, and related infrastructure work.
This is a substantial project and will disrupt travel on this street segment for all the 2023 construction season. City staff's goal is to minimize the inconvenience this project will cause for residents while also providing the contractors with the ability to complete the project in a timely manner. Anyone interested in the project is invited to attend.
