Event Description:
Australian composer Brett Dean had his world premiere of Hamlet at the Glyndebourne Festival and 2017, and now brings this masterpiece to the Met Opera, alongside director Neil Armfield. Many of the initial cast members are still in place, like tenor Allan Clayton in the title role. Nicholas Carter will make his conducting debut of a marvelous production which features soprano Brenda Rae as Ophelia, mezzo-soprano Sarah Connolly as Gertrude, baritone Rod Gilfry as Claudius, and bass baritone John Relyea as the ghost of Hamlet’s father. Tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 10 and under. Please note that masks are required indoors.
