City staff will hold two information sessions on improvements to State Highway 146 (West Street) planned for 2024. The city is partnering with the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) to improve the highway from US Highway 6 (6th Avenue) south to Interstate 80.
The DOT is planning to improve the pavement while the city is looking to add trail and sidewalks along with possible storm sewer and sanitary sewer improvements. Other possible improvements could include lighting and landscaping.
Information sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, March 29th at 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday, March 30th at 12:00 noon. Both sessions will be held in the Caulkins Community Room at the Drake Community Library - 930 Park Street.
City staff invites all those interested in the project to attend.
