Event Description:
Join Max Mowitz, Program Director of One Iowa, as they guide participants in understanding how gender essentialism impacts our understanding of LGBTQ artwork and the ways that it can be harmful to Trans, Nonbinary, and Gender Nonconforming individuals.
Guests will leave with a better understanding of gender essentialism, its relation to Queer/Dialogue, and the ways we can talk about LGBTQ artwork while honoring all LGBTQ individuals.
