Register

Des Moines Area Community College issued the following announcement on July 22.

Visit any DMACC location for registration assistance for fall.

DMACC is hosting Destination Registration! for those who are interested in advancing their education this fall. The two events will be held at all DMACC locations on Thur., July 29, and again on Tues., Aug. 10. Both will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in-person and then virtually from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Apply for admission, then stop by any DMACC location to complete orientation, register for classes or have any questions answered by DMACC student service staff. If prospective students are looking for work fast, visit DMACC’s Southridge Center to learn about free, short-term training options through the Workforce Training Academy.

There will also be free refreshments and DMACC giveaways. KISS 107.5 is co-sponsoring DMACC Destination Registration! and will stop by DMACC’s three metro campuses with music and giveaways.

“We’ve all had so many distractions over the past year, but now is the time to refocus on our personal goals and careers,” said Shelli Allen, Vice President of Enrollment Services and Student Success. “Our goal is to help Iowans get prepared and energized for the Fall Semester. And we want them to have some fun at the same time.”

Allen said employers are calling DMACC daily asking for workers. “If you have a DMACC degree, chances are you’ll have a number of job offers. The College can help Iowans take that next step in life whether that’s to become qualified for a workplace advancement or move into a completely new career. This is a great time to be a college student,” said Allen.
