Of the 48 people living in Thornburg in 2019, 47.9 percent (23) were women and 52.1 percent (25) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the East Central Iowa News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 18-to-17. In the 65 and over age range, there were four females and four males.
