Newton Public Library recently issued the following announcement.
United Way of Jasper County & Q 4 Causes presents Wing'N'Fling Disc Golf Tourney

Wing'N'Fling is a disc golf tournament that combines summertime favorites - disc golf and BBQ! The first ever Wing'N'Fling Disc Golf Tournament powered by Jersey Freeze will support two non-profits - United Way of Jasper County and Q 4 Causes. The disc golf tournament features one-round of disc golf at Newton's widely revered disc golf course at Maytag Park. The 18-hole course offers fun for both novices and advanced players. The event is an official Trilogy Challenge so each player will receive official tournament discs to use in competition. A Latitude 64 driver, a Dynamics Discs Midrange disc and a Westside Discs putter along with a microfiber towel, scorecard, pencil, Burst Mini and other freebies is all included with registration. The player with the best score will be awarded a special disc trophy (seen at right). But don't worry, prizes will be awarded in several categories so even if brand new to the game players have a chance to win great prizes during the Wing'n'Fling.
